This Privacy Policy explains how Dude, Let’s Go (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use [App Name] (the “Service”).

We designed this policy to meet Apple App Store Guideline 5.1.1 and Google Play Data Safety / User Data policies. Our App Privacy Details (Apple) and Data Safety section (Google) are intended to be consistent with this policy.

1. Personal Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Account / Identity data: Name, username, email address, password (stored hashed), profile photo.
• Location data: Precise and/or approximate location – only when you actively choose to share it for coordination features and tracking. This is optional.
• User Content: Live chat messages, shared location descriptions, profile photos.
• Device & Technical data: Device type, operating system, IP address, device identifiers (as needed), app usage data, crash logs, diagnostics.
• Communications: Support requests, reports, and correspondence with us.

We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data (e.g., health, racial origin, political opinions). If you include such data in chat or profile content, you do so at your own risk and we process it only as necessary to provide the Service.

2. How We Collect Data

• Directly from you when you create an account, update your profile, send messages, share location, or contact support.
• Automatically through the App and your device (with your permission for location and similar sensors).
• From service providers (hosting, analytics, push notifications, crash reporting) acting as processors under our instructions.

3. Sharing of Personal Data

We may share personal data with:

• Other users: Your profile photo and any location or content you or your group choose to share are visible to the users you coordinate with.
• Processors / service providers: Cloud hosting, analytics, push notification, crash reporting, and customer support providers, under written data processing agreements that require appropriate safeguards.
• Legal / safety: When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of users, us, or others.
• Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with appropriate notice where required.

We do not sell personal data. We do not share location data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. International Transfers

5. Data Retention

Chat messages already delivered to other users may remain visible to them. Location data shared for a specific coordination event is retained only as long as needed for that purpose or as required for security/moderation.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent.

• In-app: Account settings allow profile edits, location permission control, and account deletion.

• Device settings: You can revoke location and other permissions at any time.
• You may opt out of non-essential communications.

7. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data (including encryption in transit, access controls, and staff training). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Location sharing and chat occur over the internet and carry inherent risks.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the higher age of digital consent in your country, e.g., 16 in some EU Member States). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child, we will delete it. Parents or guardians should contact us if they believe a child has provided data.

9. Third-Party Services and SDKs

The App may use third-party SDKs and services (analytics, crash reporting, push notifications, maps, hosting). These act as processors under our instructions and are bound by data processing agreements. A current list of key processors can be provided on request.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the App or by email. The updated policy will show a new “Last Updated” date. Where required by law, we will seek fresh consent for material changes that rely on consent.
